About
Hello, my name is Khady Comara, and I am in my last year of undergrad and will be graduating in May with my B.S. in Health Services Management and a minor in Psychology. At the start of this semester, I explored different career paths and reflected on what type of professional I want to become. Through that process, I realized I’m most interested in roles that focus on leadership, organization, and supporting people behind the scenes. I enjoy working with others, helping teams run smoothly, and being part of creating positive environments where people feel supported and valued.
As I continue to grow professionally, I want to build a career in Human Resouces where I can support staff, improve workplace culture, and help organizations operate more effectively. I’m motivated to keep learning, gaining real-world experience through internships and leadership roles, and developing strong communication and problem-solving skills. My goal is to become a professional who leads with empathy, works well with diverse teams, and makes a positive impact in the spaces I am part of.
Why Health Services Management?
I chose Health Services Management because I wanted to make a difference in healthcare in a bigger way, not only for patients but also for the staff who care for them. At first, my major was Nursing I wanted to help people. As I learned more, I realized that nursing wasn’t the right fit for me, but my passion for healthcare never changed.
I became more interested in how healthcare organizations work behind the scenes and how leadership and management affect patient care and employee well-being. I enjoy supporting people, organizing, and helping teams run better, which led me to switch to Health Services Management.
This major fits me because it allows me to create positive change by improving systems, supporting healthcare workers, and helping patients have better experiences.
