Throughout my experience, I met these expectations by staying consistent with my work, being responsible, and making sure tasks were completed correctly. Overall, my internship helped me better understand how HR supports both employees and the organization, and it prepared me for my future career in human resources within healthcare.
Homeewatch CareGivers of Brownsburg System: KanTime

KanTime is the main system I used during my internship to manage both client and employee information. In KanTime, I was responsible for entering and updating caregiver and client profiles, making sure all information such as demographics, contact details, and emergency contacts were accurate and up to date. I also used the system to help with scheduling by assigning caregivers to shifts and making sure their availability matched the client’s needs. In addition, I entered employee-related information such as training hours, including billable and non-billable training, to ensure employees were properly tracked and paid. I also helped upload and organize important documents, like onboarding paperwork and employee records, into the system. KanTime allowed me to view schedules, track services provided, and make sure everything was documented correctly. Through using KanTime, I became more comfortable working with healthcare software systems and improved my attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage important data in a professional setting.
